Insho's View ---City and Nature
December 16 (Fri) ,2011 - March 11 (Sun), 2012
Insho Domoto passionately painted landscapes of European cities in parallel with Japanese natural scenery such as mountains, rivers, valleys, and woods.
His diverse modes of expression convey a wet atmosphere using ink, or the sense of light in bright colors.
A number of sketches drawn on site were part of an indispensable process to complete a final work.
This exhibition will show these sketches along with a variety of landscapes selected from his works.
We hope you will see his interest in landscapes through his expressions of cities and nature.
